  • Southeastern Lifestyle Fitness Centers (Lumberton, Pembroke, Red Springs) will open at 7 a.m. on Friday. (Saturday hours for Red Springs and Pembroke locations will be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.)

Elective surgical procedures will resume at Southeastern Regional Medical Center at 9 a.m. on Friday, February 14.

EMERGENCY SHELTERS

Bladen County — the Elizabethtown Middle School. Citizens planning to go should bring blankets, food, water and medications.  No pets will be allowed.

Brunswick County — West Brunswick High School. This will be a pet-friendly shelter.

Anyone evacuating to a Red Cross shelter should bring essential items for each member of the family:

    Prescriptions and emergency medications
    Foods that meet unusual dietary requirements
    Identification to show residence is in affected area and important personal documents
    Extra clothing, pillows, blankets, hygiene supplies and other comfort items
    Supplies needed for children and infants, such as diapers, formula and toys
    Special items for family members who are elderly or disabled
    If you are bringing your pets to a pet friendly shelter, owners must remain at the shelter with their pets.  Owners should bring pets collar, leash, food and other needed supplies.

New Hanover County — Noble Middle School and Dorothy B. Johnson Elementary starting at 9 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 13. Noble Middle School will be a pet-friendly shelter. Pets won't be allowed at the Dorothy B. Johnson Elementary shelter.

Pender County — Burgaw Middle School and Topsail Elementary (no pets). Individuals going to the shelter should bring ID; change of clothes; toiletries; medicines; pillows; sleeping bags/bedding material; and a flashlight.

Burgaw Middle School will be open to pets. For pets to be admitted you must have the following:

    Proof of current rabies vaccine or pay $10 cash for one to be administered onsite
    Pet Carrier
    Food and food bowl
    Water and water bowl
