My name is Sharna Starbuck and I am in the beginning phase of planning and executing a charity fashion show for Brian Cardeiro who is battling cancer. The 2010 Inspiration Charity Fashion Show will be held September 25th 2010 at the Rox Nightclub, in downtown Wilmington . We will be raising money and showcasing local businesses, entrepreneurs, artists and designers. I am soliciting donations from area businesses for prizes, refreshments, decorations and materials. If your business is interested in participating or donating to this project we would greatly appreciate your input. All donations would be recognized as donated from your establishment at the show, our ads and possibly in the local newspaper. (If I can interest them in a human-interest story for the paper) .
These donations and proceeds will be used for the sole purpose of Brian Cardeiro . No donations will be awarded to participants or employees of the fashion show. Our goal is to provide a night cutting edge fashion, socializing and enjoyment for the residents of Wilmington and at the same time helping a kind hearted local friend battle cancer and win.
We are currently looking for :
Models male and female, all shapes and sizes from ages 20-35 (no experience necessary).

The History of Wilmington in Black and White

Sign up now for The History of Wilmington in Black and White, an 8-week course featuring Dr. Tim Tyson, historian and acclaimed author of Blood Done Sign My Name; music with Mary D. Williams, Afro American historian studies performer and gospel vocalist. Each class includes music, poetry, documents, stories and opportunities for discussion.
